A Jeweler in Your Neighborhood

Ali's studio is on Barrington Ave, right on the Brentwood border. If you live in Brentwood, she's probably closer to you than any other custom jeweler in Los Angeles. Five minutes from San Vicente. Five minutes from the Country Mart. Walking distance for some parts of the neighborhood.

And that proximity matters more than you'd think. Working with a custom jeweler isn't a one-visit transaction. There are consultations, stone approvals, design check-ins, and a final pickup. Having your jeweler in your neighborhood means the process fits into your life instead of requiring special trips across the city.

One of our Brentwood clients came to Ali for something other than an engagement ring. She wanted a custom platinum tennis necklace - six carats total weight - because she has a gold allergy and couldn't wear the yellow or rose gold that most tennis necklaces come in. Ali designed the piece in platinum specifically for her, and it became something she wears every single day. That's the kind of project that doesn't exist without a jeweler who listens first and designs second.

More Than Engagement Rings

Most people find a custom jeweler when they're looking for an engagement ring. But the relationship doesn't have to stop there, and the work doesn't have to start there either.

Ali designs custom necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and statement pieces alongside engagement rings and wedding bands. Anniversary gifts. Birthday presents. Self-purchases for people who just want something beautiful that was made specifically for them. If you have a vision for a piece of jewelry - or even just a feeling about what you want but no clear direction yet - that's more than enough to start a conversation.

She also specializes in heirloom redesign. If you have family jewelry sitting in a drawer - your grandmother's ring, your mother's earrings, stones from a piece you don't wear anymore - Ali can transform them into something new that you'll wear every day. Using inherited stones can cut the total cost of a custom piece by 40-60%.

Questions From Brentwood Clients

How close is the studio to Brentwood?

Right on the border. Ali's studio is on Barrington Ave in West LA (90025), about 5 minutes from San Vicente Blvd and the Brentwood Country Mart. It's one of the closest custom jewelers to the Brentwood neighborhood.

Do you only make engagement rings?

Not at all. Ali designs necklaces, earrings, bracelets, tennis jewelry, anniversary pieces, and self-purchases. One of our Brentwood clients had a custom platinum tennis necklace made because she needed something that worked with her metal allergy. The design possibilities go well beyond rings.

How many visits does the custom process take?

Most projects involve 2-4 visits: an initial consultation, a stone approval, a design check-in, and a final pickup. Having your jeweler in your neighborhood makes these visits easy to fit into your routine instead of requiring special trips. The first consultation is 90 minutes. After that, check-ins are shorter.

Can I walk in, or do I need an appointment?

Appointment only. This is intentional - it means your time is fully protected and private. No walk-ins, no interruptions, no competing for attention. Book your consultation here.

I have family jewelry I'm not wearing. Can you do something with it?

Yes - this is one of Ali's specialties. Bring in whatever you have. She'll assess the stones and materials and walk you through what's possible. There's no commitment. You can bring in a box of your grandmother's jewelry and just have a conversation about options. Learn more about heirloom redesign.
