Meet Alexandria
Hey, I’m Ali: Your guide through the custom jewelry experience.
I'm not here to sell you a diamond; I'm here to help you create something deeply personal.
My grandfather opened a jewelry store in Iowa after becoming a watchmaker, thanks to the GI Bill after World War II. He built Necker's Jewelers from scratch, side by side with my grandmother. Their legacy inspired my dad, and now me. For as long as I can remember, jewelry has fascinated me. The blending of ancient stones, billions of years old, with deep human experiences. An engagement ring, a graduation signet, an heirloom from someone we love: these aren't just objects; they're our stories and our legacy.
I carried that love into my education and became a Graduate Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America. I wanted to understand stones at the deepest level - not just how to sell them, but how to evaluate them honestly and source them with integrity. That training changed everything about how I work. When I look at a diamond, I'm not reading you numbers off a certificate. I'm seeing the whole picture - the cut, the life, the way it interacts with light - and I'm telling you the truth about what I see.
I've worked across the jewelry industry, from family retail to one of the largest online jewelry companies in the country. What I saw at every level was the same problem: the experience was broken. Pushy sales floors, impersonal interactions, and corporate priorities that leave people feeling unheard and pressured into buying whatever is in stock. It never felt right. I realized that as an industry, we were losing trust, and instead of addressing it, we were digging in deeper. I wrote about that experience here.
I founded A. D'Mae Diamonds to rebuild that trust. I work from a private studio in West Los Angeles, by appointment only. No showroom. No inventory. No sales team. Just you and me, one-on-one, designing something that genuinely reflects who you are.
Every stone I source is one I'd personally stand behind. Every design is built from scratch around the person who'll wear it. And every conversation starts the same way - with me listening to your story before I ever pick up a pencil.
This is my commitment to you:
You'll receive my undivided, one-on-one attention throughout.
I promise to educate you openly, never pressuring you.
You'll always get the whole truth about sourcing, quality, and value.
We'll create a piece that truly represents you, not what's sitting behind a counter.
Above all, I care more about your story and your experience than just making a sale.
