Designing custom wedding bands follows the same thoughtful, relaxed process as everything we create.
A Conversation (Not a Sales Pitch)
Your free 90-minute consultation is about getting to know you. Come as a couple or come solo. In person in West Los Angeles or virtually from anywhere. Ali will ask about your style, your lifestyle, what you wear, what matters to you, and what these rings should feel like. The goal is to get you excited about what's possible.
Sketches and Design
Ali drafts initial sketches based on your conversation. You give feedback, refine, and iterate until it feels right. Whether it's a sleek minimal band, a detailed art deco design, or something with hidden personal details, the design is driven by your input.
Materials and Details
Together you'll select metals, finishes, and any details like engraving, diamonds, gemstones, or inlay work. Ali walks you through every option and how each choice affects durability, comfort, and cost. If your band includes stones, Ali sources them globally to find the best value. Full transparency on tradeoffs so you can make the decision that's right for you.
CAD Rendering and Production
You'll see a photorealistic 3D render before anything is made. Once approved, the ring goes into production with trusted artisan partners. Most custom wedding bands are completed in 6 to 8 weeks. We recommend booking your consultation at least 3 months before the wedding.

Yes, and most couples do exactly that. Your 90-minute consultation gives plenty of time to discuss both rings, explore how they relate to each other, and start the design process for both. One meeting, two rings, one experience.
Most custom wedding bands take 6 to 8 weeks from sketch to finished piece. If you're on a tighter timeline, let us know and we can often accommodate rush orders depending on the design. We recommend booking your consultation at least 3 months before the wedding to give plenty of breathing room.
Absolutely. If your engagement ring has a unique profile, Ali can design a contour band that follows its shape exactly so the two sit flush together. If you'd prefer a band with some space between, she can design for that too. She'll work with your actual engagement ring during the design process to make sure the fit is perfect.
Our preference is precious metals: 14k gold, 18k gold, platinum, and palladium. These metals can be resized, repaired, and maintained for a lifetime. We can work with alternative metals like titanium or tungsten, but Ali will walk you through the tradeoffs first. Most alternative metals can't be resized, and repairs are limited. The majority of the cost in a custom band comes from the craftsmanship and design work, not the raw material.
Yes. Many of our clients work with us remotely via virtual consultations. The process is the same: a thorough conversation, sketches, CAD renders for approval, and your finished bands shipped directly to you in beautiful packaging.
