We Get to Know You
Your free 90-minute consultation isn't a sales pitch. It's a conversation. We learn about your relationship, your style, your priorities, and what this ring means to you. In person in our Los Angeles studio or virtually from anywhere.
Sketches & Design
Ali drafts initial sketches based on your vision. You give feedback, we refine, and we keep going until it feels exactly right. Most clients nail it in the first round.
Stone Selection
Ali hand-selects stones tailored to your design and budget. Natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, or whatever your heart is set on. Every option is GIA Graduate Gemologist or independently verified. No mystery sourcing.
CAD Rendering & Production
You'll see a photorealistic 3D render of your ring before it's ever made. Once you approve, your ring goes into production with our trusted Los Angeles artisan partners. Precision casting, hand-setting, polishing, and finishing.
The Big Reveal
Your finished ring arrives with a professional appraisal, a presentation box, and care instructions. Most custom engagement rings are completed in 6–8 weeks from your first sketch.

Every ring is designed from scratch, so pricing depends on your stone choice, metal, and design complexity. Most of our engagement rings fall between $3,000 and $20,000+, though we've created beautiful pieces at every price point. We're transparent about what drives cost and we'll work within your budget. No surprises. Your initial consultation is free, and we'll provide a detailed estimate after we understand your vision.
Most custom engagement rings take 6–8 weeks from your first sketch to the finished piece. If you're working on a tighter timeline (say, a surprise proposal date), let us know upfront. We can often accommodate rush timelines depending on design complexity and stone availability.
Absolutely. We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as a wide range of colored gemstones. Ali will walk you through the differences in quality, value, and sourcing so you can make the right choice for your priorities and budget. We don't push one over the other. We educate, and you decide.
Yes. Repurposing heirloom stones is one of our specialties. Ali will evaluate your stone for quality, durability, and design compatibility. If it passes her standards, we'll design a new setting that gives it a second life. This can also significantly reduce cost since you're not purchasing a new center stone.
We work by appointment only from our private studio in West Los Angeles. This means your consultation is completely private — no crowds, no distractions, no sales floor. We also offer virtual consultations for clients outside of LA. Every meeting is one-on-one with Alexandria.
Most jewelers in the Diamond District sell from existing inventory and work on commission. We don't carry inventory and we don't have a sales team. When you work with A. D'Mae, you're working directly with a GIA Graduate Gemologist who designs your piece from scratch. Every stone is hand-selected for your specific project, and every design decision is made together. It's a fundamentally different experience. Personal, unhurried, and built around you.
