We Start With You, Not With Jewelry
Before we talk about a single stone or setting, we talk about you. Who is this piece for? What's the story behind it? What does this person love, what do they wear every day, what makes them feel seen? Ali approaches every project like a coach. She puts you at the center, listens first, and asks the questions that help both of you understand what this ring really needs to be.
Diamond and Gemstone Education
Ali will walk you through the fundamentals: the 4 C's, the difference between natural and lab-grown diamonds, colored gemstones, and how each choice affects look, durability, and cost. As a GIA Graduate Gemologist, she can answer questions that most salespeople can't. This part alone is worth the meeting.
Design Exploration
We'll look at styles, settings, metals, and design references. You can bring inspiration photos, or Ali can show you examples from her portfolio. By the end of this conversation, you'll have a much clearer sense of what direction feels right, even if you walked in with no idea.
Budget and Timeline
We'll discuss your budget honestly and show you realistic options within it. We'll also cover timeline: most custom engagement rings take 6 to 8 weeks from sketch to finished piece, and rush options are available if you're working toward a specific date.
Your Next Steps (If You Want Them)
If you're ready to move forward, great. A $500 deposit starts the design process, and it's applied toward your final price. If you want to think about it, also great. There's no expiration, no follow-up pressure, and no hard sell. You come back when you're ready.

Yes. The 90-minute design consultation is completely free with no strings attached. If you choose to move forward with a custom piece, a $500 deposit starts the design process. That deposit is applied toward your final price. If you decide not to move forward, you owe nothing.
Of course. Many couples come together to design their ring as a shared experience. If you're planning a surprise proposal and want to come alone, that works too. Ali has helped plenty of clients keep the secret.
That's one of the most common starting points and it's totally fine. Ali will ask you questions about your partner's style, your lifestyle, what metals and colors they gravitate toward, and what feels meaningful to you as a couple. By the end of the conversation, you'll have a direction. That's the whole purpose of the meeting.
Same booking process. When you schedule your appointment, just let us know you'd like to meet virtually. We'll send you a link for FaceTime, Zoom, or Google Meet. The virtual experience is the same full 90-minute consultation, and Ali can share her screen to walk you through design references, diamond options, and portfolio examples in real time.
It helps, but it's not required. If you have a range in mind, Ali can tailor the conversation to options that fit. If you're not sure, she can walk you through what different budgets typically look like so you can find a range that feels comfortable. Either way, there's no minimum spend and no judgment.
