Denver's custom jeweler, now working from Los Angeles
I built this business in Denver, and a lot of the people who find me still find me because of it. I work from a studio in West Los Angeles now, and every Denver client is served the same way: a 90-minute consultation, over video, that covers everything an in-person one does.
Book a Virtual ConsultationWhat Changed, and What Didn't

There's no physical presence in Denver anymore. I work with all of my Denver clients virtually, and I have several right now. We do make it back to visit family and friends, and when we do, I'm available for in-person appointments. I always post when I'll be in town. If you'd rather meet in person on your own timeline, I'm happy to make the trip for a travel fee, which is added to the cost of your piece.
What didn't change is everything else. The way I work with you, the stones I can get, the hands that build the piece, the attention it gets before it leaves. I still look at every stone in person before I'll show it to you, and I still won't put a stone in front of a client unless I think it's a good value and I'm excited about it. The only thing that moved is me.
The studio in West Los Angeles is private and appointment-only, the same as it was in Denver. If you're ever in Los Angeles, you're welcome to come in. Most of my Denver clients never need to.
How a Virtual Consultation Works
We meet for 90 minutes over Google Meet. If that doesn't work for you, I'm flexible. We cover all the same things as an in-person appointment: who you are, who you're creating for, what the process has been like for you so far, what's important to you, your concerns, the design and stone details, what the whole process looks like from start to finish, and the estimate and payment schedule, so you can feel confident in the process before you commit to anything.
I make the virtual meetings about as close to being in person as I know how. When we do a stone showing, I'm not just holding stones up to the camera. I send you detailed videos of each one in several lighting conditions, so there are no surprises when the stone arrives. I also have a scope that live-streams, so you can see the small details in your stone that we're talking about, the way you would if you were sitting across from me.
I've never had an unhappy virtual client. People describe it as their best jewelry shopping experience, and they often tell me it was no different than if we'd met in person. If you want to know more about what the consultation covers, I've written up what a consultation is like and how the design process works from the first sketch to the finished piece.
Stones and Finished Pieces in Transit

Every piece I ship is insured, sent overnight, and has to be signed for. No packages left at a door. We coordinate the exact delivery date so someone is home, and if that won't work, we solve it: a friend's address, your workplace. I've never lost a piece in shipping.
If you don't know a ring size, I'll mail you a ring sizer, or send you a link to an inexpensive one, before we finalize anything.
Resets, Heirlooms and Repairs from Denver
Yes, and I've done it several times. If you have a ring you want reset, family stones you want redesigned into something you'll wear, or a piece that needs repair, I send you a shipping label. Your pieces come to me overnight, insured and signature required. I do the work, and they go back to you the same way.
I've written about each of these: resetting or upgrading your engagement ring, heirloom redesign, and jewelry repair.
Denver Custom Engagement Rings

The design work for a Denver client is identical to the design work for a client who drives to the studio. Every engagement ring is designed from scratch around the person wearing it, every stone is sourced for that ring, and you see the stone before you decide. This is where being a third-generation jeweler, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and a designer all matter at once, and none of it depends on which city you're in. The door is the virtual consultation, and the rest is on the custom engagement rings page.
The same goes for wedding bands. Men's and women's, any metal and width, designed to sit flush against the engagement ring, and shipped the same way. More on the custom wedding bands page.
What You Give Up by Working With Me Remotely
Absolutely nothing. The only difference is that I can't give you a hug in person when your piece is finished.
